Faced with the bland dressing standards of the United States Senate, I struggle to find ways to integrate my style. Two weeks prior: Sent to Fairbanks, Alaska on a business trip, I entertained myself with the random assortment of stores and shops in the mile radius around the Westmark. Value Village had exactly what you'd expect- 90's artwork and 80's clothing.

"Zip this up for me please?" approaching my roommate in a backwards step. "You're wearing that?" Alyssa snorts. "Yes, but don't worry. I'll make it work with the accessories." A glance in the mirror, "good luck with that."

The moment I walk into work, a coworker exclaims she loves my outfit and envies my thrift store find. At lunch I receive unusual stares, as expected.
Did I really spend more than ten minutes of my life doubting this awesome thrift store find? Never again!
