While serving as a press intern, my daily duty was to create the clips. The clips consisted of several two-sentence summarized (& relevant) news stories from several different news sources around Alaska. The RSS feed was instrumental in allowing me to complete my job in a timely manner.
Through my internship experience, I saw the immense value of gathering my news from one, well-organized source. The name is bolded if there are stories or posts that you have not viewed.
I currently use my RSS feed from the widget of my laptop's dashboard to keep up with the news, as well as follow interesting blogs or inspirational photographers.
