Creating a Blog

I really enjoy using all sorts of Web 2.0: social networking sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter; blogs on Tumblr and Blogger; as well as information sites such as YouTube, Instagram, Photobucket, FourSquare, Pinterest, and Stumbleupon.

The Internet is a great place to share, learn, develop, store and discover ideas. Especially with writing and photography, I find it useful to receive feedback on my work from either friends or the dark corners of the world wide web-- and also review and experiment with other's creative examples.

Though I love the virtual cache of my interests and connection with that of other's, it's also frightening to consider the irremovable digital footprint we all leave. As someone interested in the political realm, it's easy to understand the weight one poorly posed photo can carry... generation Y has multiple albums and profiles full of them.

Check out The Onion video, poking fun at the transparency the Internet has created to the private lives of individuals.
